Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.

Yesterday the 12th our crew were up early and on the road heading for the West Coast highway. Well I guess you wouldn’t call it a highway but seeing as though it is the main road between Bali and Java it has main road traffic on it’s 2 lanes. We ended up at Balian and as you can see in the photos there were some very nice waves coming through. Wave height was pushing double head high on some of the set waves and surfing conditions were clean as glass.There was also a nice mellow crow of surfers in the water which is also a bonus these days.

Weather wise it was another beauty with mostly blue sky and sun shine with the temperature peaking at 34 degree’s Celsius.

Today the 13th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was showing wave height to have dropped back down into the 1-1ft+ sector. Surfing conditions were not the best at the time with the wind fresh out of the West.

So with small waves across the board this morning we called a lay day and hoping for a little spike in size for us tomorrow.

Weather wise outside today it’s been mostly overcast with a scattered shower or two around this end of the island. Our midday temperature was still around 35 degree’s Celsius though. Currently the wind is light out of the SE now at 5.30pm.

Coming up on the 13th of April Keramas Beach will be closed to the surfing public for the annual JPSA surfing contest. I think it runs for the best part of a week.
