BALI / INDONEISA
30th April – 1st May 2016
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best darn views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Rightio, here’s 80 odd photos from where we surfed on Saturday, and as it shows it was cranking. We were on the scene just after first light to find un crowded 3-4ft waves with plenty of options for going left or right. Surfing conditions were also just as good with a light off shore wind that lasted through until 10.30AM. Around the same time that the stickered up crew of zombies turned up in mass. Not that it worried us because we had already had a tonne of waves. Zombies = people who get close enough to smell their deodorant but won’t say hello.
Sunday we were up early and on the road looking for more un crowded perfect waves. And that’s exactly what we scored at Medewi. I’ll get some of those photos ready for ya’s later this afternoon. Wave height at Medewi was in the chest to over head class with left hand waves peeling off for up to 200mtrs. Friendly locals and visiting surfers makes for a great day and that’s exactly what we had at Medewi. All in all it was a sweet weekend of waves here in Bali.
Weather wise it’s just been hot and sunny in most parts of Bali. We did strike some heavy rain in the Tabanan area on the way home yesterday and we did get some cooling and cleansing rain here in Tuban over night.
Outside right now (2nd May) at 7.00AM we have more blue sky. There’s no wind yet, maybe just a hint of light off shore breeze and we know there’s still plenty of swell for with more scheduled in to arrive through out the day. By the time you see this we will be out there into some waves. So stay tuned through out the day for more up dates and surf info.
