Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (The one and only original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Ok so this morning we were up reasonably early and on our way up the West Coast a little ways, heading for the Gu. On arrival things were looking a little small with only 1-2 footers showing (musta been a long lull) but within 10 minutes we were stoked to see some solid 3-4 footers breaking on all 3 of the main sections in this area. The river mouth was looking the goods but there was no shortage of speed bumps and I did see a few classic run downs with out anyone getting injured. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind a light ENE through until maybe 10.00AM when the SE Tradey started to kick in.
Weather wise it’s been a mostly hot and sunny one here on the holiday island with a few clouds driftin through from time to time. Right now at 4.25PM the temperature is on 33 degree’s Celsius and the wind light out of the SE at 6knots.
Sadly to say yesterday at the Gu a Tourist drowned while swimming, there was a rumors that he had been drinking alcohol before entering the water. Something must have been wrong because there was some solid swell running and not a good place to go for a swim. I know you surfers are ocean savy so make sure if you see anyone doing dumb things in or near the ocean make sure to let them know that they are risking their lives.

Sick, I always look at your reports! Makes me feel like I’m here when I’m not. Last trip it was my goal to get one photo on Bali waves in 5 months. Managed it! ha. Good job on the photos it’s cool.
