July 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well thanks to our man Ketut for sending us through a solid 90 strong photo gallery from where he has been the last few days. Looks to me like these photos have West Coast written all over them, but I might be wrong. I’ve also heard there’s been a mixed bag in the weather department and even some rain.
Like I mentioned in our last post I have made arrangement to have some barnacle’s removed. But my Dr has given me a last minute delay. So now all I have to do is not get frost bite in my finger tips while typing. This is the coldest temperature I have been in for over 20 years and almost a slave to the central heating
Stay tuned for more news and up dates as I did see fresh Mentawai Island and G-Land surf reports and photos my inbox, hang in there.

Hey, I will be in Bali in a week and Im staying in seminyak, Im 13 years old and intermediate and wondering what are some good spots around the place. Im comfortable surfing 4 foot, I have heard that the some good intermediate spots are like Canggu, Kuta Reef and Airports but just wanted to know more.
Cheers
Hey, what’s up with all the thunderstorms in the forecast for the next 3 weeks?!?
I thought July/August was the dry season!
Neil .., the Dry season RAIN effects are from the ‘el nino’ . This is causing lots of unseasonal RAIN and also some variable winds and extra swell blocking high pressure systems than we usually get for this time of the year .., The locals here are not complaining about it though, as the last wet season here in Bali hardly saw any rainfall at all.
This unseasonal rain we are currently experiencing is seen as a much welcome relief because Bali is so dangerously close to running out of water these days, the islands underground water table (and food crops) now desperately needs every last drop of water it can get.
