BALI / INDONESIA
15th – 16th September 2016
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali’s surfing scene since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
What your seeing in today’s fresh as Spring photo gallery is some smoking waves from where we were shooting over on Bali’s East Coast yesterday. Everyone was scoring some nice waves and there was plenty of room in the line up while we were there. Wave height was mainly in the 2-4ft range with the occ
This morning the 16th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to be down in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was pushing in fast at the time for a solid 2.4mtr High at 9.30AM so I’m guessing there would be a helluva lot of waves breaking out there to the top of the tide. Maybe an afternoon wave at Middle’s on the Low tide if anything.
Our man over on the East Coast of Bali has phoned through this morning calling wave height to also have dropped down into the 2-3ft range. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at 8.30AM and only a dozen surfers in the water.
Weather wise we had some more heavy rain fall last night and into the early hours of the morning. But now at 10.00AM all I can see here in Tuban is mainly blue sky at the moment. Temperature wise the mercury is already a warm 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity has jumped to 82%. Wind direction has now started to come out of the ESE blowing off shore from Kuta to Uluwatu.
We also have a Full Moon rising tonight so watch out for those big tidal ranges over the next 3-4 days.
