BALI / INDONESIA
24th – 25th September 2016
Hello Bali freaks and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session. To check out our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well yesterday the 24th and wave height was fading out at most locations here on the holiday island. This current photo gallery we have for you we shot up at Canggu here on Bali’s West coast. As it shows wave height was down in the 1-3ft class with one or two slightly over head freak sets through out the morning. The tide was running down at the time so it was getting a bit shallow on the river mouth rights, but that didn’t stop anyone.
Today the 25th and our 8.00AM surf check (after the rain) on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still also only showing wave height in the 1-3ft class or knee to head high what ever. The tide was running out at the time so Middle Reef was where all the surfers were. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with no wind.
Weather wise it’s been a mostly overcast day with heavy rain falling all night and into the early hours of the morning. Temperature wise outside right now at 3.30PM the mercury is on 31 Celsius. Wind direction is now out of the SE – ESE at 9-14knot.
Ketut has taken a run up to Seminyak to check out the ASUS surfing contest that is happening up there today, wave height up along the stretch of Seminyak beach breaks is in the head high range and some hot surfing going down according to our man on the scene. We should have some photos from the contest later on, so keep an eye out for them.
I also had a phone in from friends over on the East Coast calling strong on shore wind and blow out waves this afternoon at Keramas.
Don’t forget to contact us here at baliwaves if you would like to help out with a surf report and maybe photos from where ever you might be in Bali. If you run a surf orientated business it might be well worth your time. Drop me a line and I’ll fill you in.
