BALI / INDONESIA
24th – 25th April 2017
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali
Ok yesterday Ketut was over on the East Coast shooting some of the action that was going down at the Mad Huey’s Komune QS1000 that has been running the last couple of days. We knew it was going to be cranking over there yesterday and as it shows in the photos Ketut smashed it was. The lucky surfers that drew the early heats were lucky to surf in perfect 3-5ft+ Keramas with just a few surfers in the water, lucky buggers right. Ketut sot around 700 photos but due to me only having 2 hands and the fact that there is only 24hrs in a day these are all I had time to edit and load up. But they should give you a ghood indication of just how perfect Keramas was yesterday.
I ended up surfing out at Kuta Reef that’s been my local surf break for the last 22+ years (seeing as I only live 400ydrs away) We also had some perfect waves in the 3-4ft+ and Kuta Reef was doing her thing. But thanks to a group of aggro Aussies wanting every wave that came through it really put a bad vibe in the water. I was stoked when some of my local mates jumped off their boat and restored some peace and fun back into everyone’s surf time.
Remember to bring some peace and smiles when your visiting a Bali, try to remember your on holidays and supposed to be happy. Leave your aggro and bad manners at home please.
This morning the 25th and the sun is just starting to lighten up the sky to the East and I can’t help but remember my Dad and all my Uncle’s who served in WW2.. LEST WE FORGET.
It’s another pearler of a day coming on and there should still be plenty of waves around for the lucky boys and girls here on vacation. We are heading down for a surf check as soon as this hits the wire. Have a good one what ever you got planned for today and get those tickets booked for Bali and come get some waves.
Sheesh… Some wickedly perfect looking waves their!
Good to see the guys slot themselves into that sucky churning section that barrels and pushes the foam ball outwards, hard to manage for sure!
Some of those roundhouse carves after a tonne of speed through the inside are just glorious to behold as well!
Nice photo’s Ketut!
Bagus Bangat!
Cheers Nikko, they sure blew it not broadcasting this event live hey
Yeah, rather watch that than say the Solander cape fear thing.
Their loss I reckon mate.
Last two days have been cranking, just so nice and perfect 426 ft indo bliss… Stoked!
