Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (since 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 surf saturated tropical holiday island of Bali.
OK so yesterday (Twitter) with the swell up on the Outer Reefs and looking like getting bigger with the in coming tide we thought it should be a good size down on the bukit at Uluwatu. Ulu at 9.00AM was breaking in the 3-5ft+ class but as the tide started to push in there was a lot more size and water moving through. Some of the bigger freak sets we saw were up in the 8ft class. Lots of slick high speed tube rides were going down with low numbers in the water. Everyone was hoping for it to get big enough for the Padang Padang Cup to run but it just didn’t get there.
This morning the 28th and we took a look at the Outer Reefs at 7.00AM and it was showing pretty much the same as yesterday. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind already coming out of the ESE – SE. So we might take another run down to the action end of the island and see whats going down. Stay tuned for up dates on Twitter if we get phone signal.
Weather wise outside it’s a mostly blue sky with the temperature on 26 degree’s Celsius at 8.00AM, Humidity is at 89%. Wind is SE at 12knot.
The next tide today will be a 2.2mtr High at 12.49PM
