BALI / INDONESIA
21st – 22nd July 2017
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (surfing through the weekends since back in 1999) for the latest news and our best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happy little surfing holiday island of Bali.
Ok so seeing as though it’s been a solid weekend of sun shine surf here in Bali so far and it’s only Saturday now. I’ll be keep this report short and sweet, lets face it all starts again tomorrow morning right. So here is around 130 photos that we have smashed off the last couple of days. We shot more again today but I’ll get to those first thing in the morning.
Wave height kicked in hard on Friday with solid swell hitting Bali’s coastline, bigger waves were hitting the West coast but we snuck over to the East Coast to see what was happening with the light wind we had. As it shows it was cranking with some hard core tube riding and lip smacking surfing going down.
Today was still pretty solid, we hit Balangan again for a morning session while the numbers were nice and low. Wave height was in the head to double head high range with a few 6 foot sets thrown in every hour or so. The wind was coming clean off shore from around 8.30AM on wards, very low numbers and some super long rides on offer.
Weather wise it’s been hot and sunny with a little morning and afternoon cloud passing through. Temperature wise midday temps of 29 – 30 degree’s Celsius. Tomorrow the 23rd also has a New Moon rising so get ready for those big tdal ranges over the next 3-4 days.
To the masses that may go a foreign to The Island of The Gods, Slim is the man to see first. I just spent 10 wave filled days with him and scored everyday. Big up to Baliwaves and the beautiful family!! More time soon come BLESSINGS!!!
