Damai Bungalows, South Sumatra
28th October 2017
G’day all, last few weeks have in general been great in our area here in Lampung, we have had some torrential downpours generally of a night, one in particular caused some flooding and a road wash out that split the area, those in Krui couldn’t get down to us and vice versa, but as Indonesia does they were onto it pretty quickly and the road now open again and a bridge being built to prevent it happening again
Surf wise it’s been a mixed bag, no monster swells but in general we’ve had enough to keep the punters happy….. on the few small days we’ve had we hit the wave magnets so i don’t think we’ve missed a day….
Winds for the most part are still out of the south which is what we want, we have had a couple of funky days but that only means we hit waves that face the opposite direction. This end of the season the winds do start to swing a bit and some days we need to move to get somewhere offshore, but the trade off is far fewer punters in the area….. if you’re in Indo or are coming over the next coupla months, hit up Slim to save you some cabbage, we don’t close ever and do have some loyal guests who choose to come in the off season only for the variety of waves and the lower numbers here, make sure you hit up Slim to save you some cabbage if you’re thinking of coming up this way
Thanks for reading all and thanks to Slim for the support, hope you all travel safe and are getting shacked, till next time………
