BALI / INDONESIA
18th – 19th November 2017
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the with out a doubt World’s best tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 18th it was pretty small and the boys and I were pretty hung over from our sushi night that was just supposed to be a couple of quite drinks with dinner, hahahaha. Anyway we all voted to have a lay day.
Today the 19th and as it shows in this current photo gallery we were sober and keen to get some waves so we made our way down to Uluwatu. Seeing as though our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was only showing 2ft sets between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. We figured we’d find a little more power down South at Indonesia’s premier surfing location.
Driving past Impossible’s and Padang Padang there was a 1-2ft wave breaking on the top end of Impossible’s so we knew we were on track for 4 footers at Ulu. Surfing conditions even though the wind was light out of the South were still pretty clean and tidy out on the Main Peak. We did get some rain around 9.30AM and then for an hour after we scored a bit of a glass off for a bonus. Being a Sunday we made sure we were out of there before noon and the circus.
Weather wise it’s been mostly overcast with a few drops of rain earlier but still with a midday temperature of 29C. Right now at 5.00PM it’s overcast and raining lightly here in Tuban.
