Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (your eye’s in Bali since all the way back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok so here we go again and here’s another fresh photo gallery from where we have been surfing the last couple of days. Yesterday the 27th we were hoping to see a bit of a bump in wave height over on the East Coast but if anything it was looking a little smaller and weaker for our morning session. Surfing conditions were clean and tide with a fresh off shore North Westerly wind that lasted through until 9.30AM when it swung more to the West then West South West. Crowd wise it wasn’t too bad on the main peak even though the surf schools were out in force frothing on the 2-3ft+ waves, they were staying out of harms way. I’ve also chucked in a few photos from the last day of swell when wave height was just a little better.
Weather wise yesterday it was mainly overcast but no rain and the midday temperature was still around 30 degree’s Celsius.
Today the 28th and right now it’s just gone 4.30AM and it won’t be long and we’ll be back out there on the road to track down some waves. I’m thinking it’s gotta be a little bigger today and the wind should be fine where we are heading to. Weather wise outside right now the temperature is a warm 27 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity on 85%. Wind direction is coming out of the WNW at 6-10knot.
Ok then stay tuned to the original Bali surf report for moire news and up dates through our Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the morning.
Traffic wise, well it is that time of the year again. That period between Christmas and the New Year when half of Java starts to drive their cars over to Bali to do laps around the island. So if your going anywhere by car during the afternoon make sure you allow a little extra time. Especially as we get closer to the New Year.
I’d also like to give our mate Peter Neely from “Indo Surf and Lingo” a big shout out for letting us borrow their hard to get hold of and most important “ACCURATE” tide charts for 2018 which you can access here on the baliwaves.

Ive been going to Bali since the 80’s. I’ve never seen so much Rubbish its absolutely disgusting and the government should do something before its too late. Its getting worse every year.
people will stop going to Bali.
Sadly Roger it’s the same every year for 2-3 week period when the rivers all flush out after the start of the rain at the start of Bali’s wet season. You must have never been here when this happens. But you know what ? by 10am it will have been all cleaned up by locals working to keep the beach clean. Do you also realize ? that Kata beach is practically empty of tourists this time of the year its most raining and overcast and the wind is mostly strong on shore out of the West….. no good for surfing or swimming. That’s how the rubbish gets blown on to the shore with the tide. It will never stop surfers from coming to Bali Roger. If your talking about Aussies well Aussies that once were a majority of tourists here are now a minority, we mainly just get beer drinking /fighting bogans and schoolies. But I am proud to say that the cool Aussie surfers we do get do not hang out on Kuta beach.
