Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping Bali surf reports real since back in 1999) for our latest news and our very best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the with out a doubt the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.

This current photo gallery I’ve just loaded was shot a few days back now and probably the last day of decent fun sized waves. Thanks to our man Ketut for the photos and thanks to a big turn out of local surfers for the hot shots.

Ok so if you are on the ball this morning and been following baliwaves on Twitter you’d have a pretty good idea of whats going down here on Bali so far this morning. Now 2hrs later the only thing that has change is that the tide is now running back in. Wave height is at best in the 1-2ft class at the more open locations. The wind is still light on shore out of the W-WSW, but the good news is that there’s a lot more blue sky for us beach lovers.

Weather wise right now at 9.45AM the outside temperature is a very nice warm 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 80%. Wind direction is coming lightly out of the W-WSW.

The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.9mtr High around 2.30PM

Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Bali, — 1US$=Rp13,675 — 1AU$=Rp10.600 — How are these exchange rates to help make a great vacation hey !

Swell forecast for our coming week is still not looking the best but we should see a nice little bump in wave height late on the 11th that is predicted to peak on the 12th and run into the 13th. At this stage nothing to solid but at least there will be waves at more than 1 or 2 locations only. Then it’s going to back off again until the 17th..

Speaking of this 17th of March 2018, it just happens to be one of my favorite days of the year when we are all forced to have a day off and stay in doors for 24hrs and respect our Balinese Hindu hosts for “Hari Raya Nypie” or Nypie Day. Most of you already know of this one day per year here in Bali when no one is allowed out doors, no cars, bikes, airport, no TV or radio. A day of no noise, electricity or pollution right across the island of Bali. There’s a lot more to this act than I can explain in a paragraph so if you got a minute ask mister google for all the information. But most importantly if your here in Bali please respect this custom.

Depending on where you are staying on the island your Balinese hosts should take care of you with meals, but don’t forget to stock up on supplies by the 16th if you need anything special.
