BALI INDONESIA
20th – 21st September 2018
Hello peeps and welcome back to the baliwaves (The one and only baliwaves Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our our latest news and best possible views. From right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Alright then here’s a few photos from where we ventured off to yesterday the 20th. As it shows wave height was nothing to write home about but it was clean and glassy with some fun chest to head high waves. Another big plus was that the water is always crystal clear with an abundance of turtles all around us.
Today the 21st and as usual.. we were up long before the sun rise and making our way to another location where we thought we might luck into some long fun waves, Medewi. Arriving at 7.15AM after 1 2 hour plus drive, dodging over turned trucks and crazy bus drivers to find wave height peeling off in the 3-5ft (head to double head high) with maybe 20 surfers scattered through the line up. I’ll get onto those photos and give ya’s a peek asap ok.
The only thing that soured today’s waves was the fact that some arse hole boat / ship owner has been dumping oil off the coast and there was quite a bit of evidence along the shoreline and still in the water. Surfers were getting it on them and their boards so I’m sure it has also done more damage to the sea life and birds in the area..
Weather wise today it’s been hot and sunny with a mostly blue sky.
Ok we have more plans for more waves again tomorrow and I’m pretty sure it will be a different location again, and why not. There are so many prefect waves on offer here in Bali so it would be a shame not to, right. So stay tuned for more news and up dates through out the morning via our @baliwaves Twitter and instagram feeds on site.

Rod Hossack says
I recently discovered a ” tinny ” aluminium boat on an island far south of Bali.
Looked like a stolen boat to me – about 4.5 m long.
I took some pictures and maybe we can find the rightful owner. ?
Any ideas. ?
Rgds.
