Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (working through the Christmas Holiday period since back in 1999)

First up, Thanks for taking the time out and all your support. With the Christmas Holiday period just about to begin we thought we had better say thanks for hanging out with the baliwaves. To all the surfers that have come and stayed / surfed with us in 2018 a big thank you to everyone. We hope to see you all again next year ok. Hey and lets keep this politically correct right ! It is indeed the “Christmas Holiday period” not the “Holiday period” Always was and always will be on our calendar.

Ok so a bit of catch up for us today we have been a little busy and a little side tracked being the week before Christmas. But anyway here’s another super fun filled surfing photo gallery from where we were on the 17th. We pulled up to find zero surfers in the water with wave height a semi consistent 2-ft as it has been most of this month. Super clean surfing conditions with a light off shore wind and the tide just starting to run out. The crowd did peak at close to 20 surfers by 9.00AM but the early bird always gets the worm right.

I also had a report from a good friend who surfed Nusa Dua by himself on the 17th and he was calling 15ft faces so your looking at 4-5ft+ right there. But he did say it was a little tricky with some cross shore bump for his 5’9″ board.

Weather wise it was mostly over cast with a few light drops of rain as it reflects in the photos but as usual temperature wise it was still pretty warm.

Yesterday the 18th and we were back over on the East Coast at Keramas again and wave height was in the solid 3-4ft class. The wind was still clean with glassy conditions but the wid did turn to the SW and light on shore by 9.15AM. Crowd wise there would have had to have been close to or more than 30 surfers in the water, with a few of the local Indonesian surfers putting on a good display or ripping the shit out of it. I’ll be editing those photos after I get this on line so stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report,

This morning the 19th and there’s still plenty of swell here on the West Coast but here the wind is a light SW and on shore everywhere from Medewi to Uluwatu. But if that’s ok then you’ll still find plenty of options for a paddle. If it’s clean off shore / glassy waves your looking for then try anywhere between Sri Lanka to Keramas.

Weather wise out there this morning it’s overcast but not much chance of any rain at this point in time. Temeprature is a warm 28 degree’s Celsius at 9.32AM, Humidity is on 77%. The next tide will be a 0.5mtr Low at 1.00PM. Wind direction is currently SW at 4-7knot.
