BALI / INDONESIA
3rd – 4th February 2019
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (Delivering a little bit of Bali back to you since 1999) for the start of another surfing week and our latest news and best possible views. From right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so yesterday the 3rd seeing as though the wind was fresh out of the West we took a run over to the East Coast to see if there was anything happening at Keramas. Wave height as it shows in our latest photo gallery was mainly in the 2-3ft class with an occasional slightly bigger freak set. Not much happening on the tube ride front but still some nice shape to some of the waves. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy through until around 9.30AM when the wind swung more to the WSW and a little cross / on shore. Crowd wise while we were on location the numbers were reasonably low (for this day and age) at 25.
Today the 4th and as predicted our 7.15AM surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was only showing a very weak looking 1-1ft+ breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were very ordinary with the wind already coming out of the West at 8-10knot+
Over on the East Coast today wave height is also only showing at 1-2ft with, depending on location a 3ft set wave. But at least you will find some cleaner wind between Nusa Dua and Keramas.
Weather wise outside after we had some early morning rain it’s partly overcast but plenty of blue sky at 9.15AM.
The next tide today will be a 2.1mtr High at 10.22AM and that won’t help the small swell situation a real lot either.
Tomorrows swell forecast is looking a bit better with a nice little bump in size that should show as the tide starts running in. Hopefully it will go through into Wednesday as well.
Ok hang in there and get some work done and tune in again tomorrow as we will be out there chasing the best waves on offer as usual.

Hi Guy’s,
I have seen that they have closed the bike track into Serangan recently. So judging by your photo’s the only way in is by boat. I’m heading over shortly & I was wondering if you could please tell me where I can access a boat to get around there & also how much the boat costs.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you,
Marc

Hi Marc, yeah the road in has been closed since May 2018 you can get a boat from Tanjung Benoa, Serangan or Sanur they all have different prices so best to negotiate your own best deal.
