BALI SURF REPORT, both coasts covered 8th-9th May 2019

Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.

Ok so with everything starting to get back on track we have been on the wave hunt as usual and not doing to bad. Our current photo gallery was shot on both coasts at the best beach breaks in Bali just before our new swell (9th) started to kick in.

Yesterday morning the 9th and with a clean Northerly wind happening we bee lined it up to Canggu hoping that it was going to be washed out. It was getting border line close to maxing out when we arrived but in between the set waves on the Sandbar there were some smoking barrel, both left and rights going down. Surfing conditions were clean with the off shore N-ME wind holding through until around 9.20AM. As the tide started to fill in the river mouth then started to produce so nice rides as well. Crowd wise it was pretty normal for this spot with a special guest appearance from one of the WSL CT surfers.

We shot lots of photos and video and will throw it all together later this afternoon, so stick around the baliwaves.

Weather wise it was a mostly hot and sunny morning with some cloud cover moving in around lunch time. Temeprature wise it would have easily reached 30 on the Celsius scale by midday.

Today the 10th and it’s only just gone 4.40AM so it’s almost time to wake everyone up and get the boards on the roof. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Instagram feeds later this morning for more news and surf info.

The charts are calling for a little more size again today, but I guess we won’t really know until we go and see for our own eye’s what mother nature has offered up.
