BALI / INDONESIA
14th – 15th July 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok we had an easy day trip up the coast yesterday and as it shows in our latest photo gallery were rewarded handsomely in super fun waves, our standard surr trip currency of high value. It was a 99% friendly crew in the water and plenty of waves to go around for everyone. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the early morning light Northerly wind blowing clean off shore on that end of the island. It wasn’t until around 10.00am that the ESE Trade started to kick in taking the shine off the waves.
Today the 15th and I was kind of expecting a bump in wave height this morning after yesterday afternoon surf check and as per surf forecast. So with the ESE Tradey already up and strong from sun up we headed down to the Southern end of the island looking for some shelter under the cliffs. Wave height was only in the 1-3ft class as it turned out but that off shore wind was howling so it was good to be kinda under the cliff with a little more protection. There were a few waves for those that did brave the wind but nothing to write home about.
Weather wise it’s been a mostly warm and sunny day. Temperature wise right now at 3.45pm it’s still 27C, Humidity level at 73% and UV index on 2. Wind direction is coming out of the SE with gusts up to 45km/h.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is looking to be similar to today, maybe up a touch in size. More likely to be more size over on the East side of Bali with the direction. Catch 22, because the wind will be gusty out of the ESE – SE again.
