BALI / INDONESIA
11th August 2019
Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Ok so here’s another dose of baliwaves fresh from one of our favorite places (aren’t they all our favs) down on the Southern end of the island at Balangan Beach. As it shows in the photos wave height was mostly coming through in the head high but there were a few bigger well over head sets from time to time. The weird thing about today was that the wind was on shore out of the WNW all morning. The Trade wind did eventually show up but it wasn’t until around 12.30pm. All in all it wasn’t too bad down there this morning, reasonable crowds, no hassle as always.
Weather wise it was overcast most of the morning until the wind swung to the ESE and cleared it up for a mostly hot and sunny afternoon.
That’s it for me today as it’s been a long day and the family and I have some special dinner plans. But tune in again tomorrow cause we also have more plans to get back out on the wave hunt again.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Bali, –1US$=Rp13.975 –1AU$=Rp9,450 —
NB travelling to Bali then bringing CASH money is the way to go in high denominations. I used an ATM yesterday (Commonwealth Bank) and got a poorly rate of 1AU$=Rp8,990 Plus then there’s the risk of having your card skimmed. Cash is always best !
We have another item of interest loaded into our Real Estate page with a super deal on prime land at Watukurang, so make sure you check that out, perfect position for a surf camp or surf villa.
