Hi all, hope everyone is well out there and welcome to another update from up here in Lampung Sumatra. Not much has changed really besides we are slowly creeping into the “off” or “wet” season….Off season… fark what a joke that is as i type it, the whole friggin year has been an OFF season…..

Wave wise things on the whole have been pretty good, and empty. We’ve had the odd darstedly westerly days thrown in and we needed to look up the coast to find offshore conditions, but overall the trades are still blowing. Most of Indonesia was hit by that late season swell end of Oct and it was no different here, so it was off to more sheltered breaks that come alive when we get a big push. This time of year along with early season brings the beachies into play and when conditions are right they have been producing. Weather wise it’s mostly been sunny and hot again with the odd rainy day here and there, an arvo storm is becoming a regular which is to be expected as the season changes

Up here besides the few that have made a move and were already in Indonesia it’s basically been local guests servicing the accommodation in the area of a weekend mostly. What i will say is almost all places are still hanging in here and would welcome more for sure, it’s been a grind here as well as everywhere else i know
