Hello everyone and I hope the weekend was worth it and ready for another week ahead of us all. Just another quick up date from me as I’m still a day behind and playing catch up with all the photos and video we have just waiting to be edited and delivered to you.
Today’s photo gallery goes back to Balangan beach on the 25th. Our new swell was just starting to turn up in Bali and the Bukit was it’s first stop. We arrived to find wave height in the 3-5ft range but it wasn’t long before there were some slightly bigger sets intent on cleaning all players up. As it shows in the photos surfing conditions were perfect and the numbers in the water were also pretty good.
Yesterday the 26th and we ended up making the call (pre dawn) to head back to Uluwatu. Mostly because the swell forecast was calling for wave height to be backing off a little bit through out the day. Arriving at 6.45am to see 4-6 foot waves hitting the Main Peak and only just slightly smaller set waves further down on Temples. But instead of wave height backing off by 9.30am there would have been some solid 8 footers cleaning up the Main Peak and some seriously good surfing going down in between. I have at least down loaded my photos from yesterday and hopefully I’ll have them on line sometime in the next 24hrs.
Weather wise yesterday it was a mixed bag with some early morning light rain or drizzle while we were in transit. Then cloudy and overcast through sunrise and another rain squall by 7.00am. Not your best weather for Bali or for shooting photos. Around mid morning we did get some patches of blue sky though ans as always yesterday’s temperature was still a warm 30C by midday. Early morning wind direction was also a mixed bag or “campur” with early morning Southerly before swinging to the NE and then East.
It’s bit un clear this morning as it’s still half an hour off sunrise right now (27th). A bit like how my head feels after watching last nights State of Origin game of footy with a few friends. But stay tuned and I should have a morning surf and weather video report up on our Facebook page in the next hour or two. Wave height is predicted to slowly drop off again today but I’ll wait and see for that call. Have a good one and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.
