Hello Bali people and time for some more surf and weather from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination. Well, yesterday the 30th we were thinking that wave height was dropping away and that Uluwatu would be the only place with any sort of waves. But strangely enough there were still some solid 3-4ft+ waves hitting the Main Peak and even some clean up sets washing through Temples. But crowd wise I have to say it was the biggest or one of the biggest crowds at Uluwatu I have ever seen. When we arrived at 6.45am there was at least 80 surfers in the water from the Racetrack to the Peak. Then further down to the South another 25 on Temples.
Surfing conditions were perfect with a light off shore Easterly wind that lasted through until around 11.00am then swung more to the SSE. By that time the tide had already filled in and wave frequency dropped right away.
This morning the 1st of July and we headed South again. But this time heading down to Balangan. We took out first surf check from up on the hill over looking the line up to find 2 surfers in the water and wave height pushing a well over head 4ft on the sets. Surfing conditions were nicely protected from the fresh and gusty ESE off shore wind. By the time we got down to the warungs the surfers had started to arrive. Then by the time the tide had filled in around 10.00am there would have been 75 surfers spread through the line up with fat and full waves.
Weather wise it was a beautiful morning here in Bali, driving back to Kuta at 12 noon the black clouds rolled through and delivered some heavy rain. Right now at 3.25pm the temperature has cooled down to 27C with the Humidity at 82%. Wind direction is hard out of the East at 20knot. Could be a chance of more rain tonight with a grey overcast sky.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling just a slight bump in wave height and more gusty ESE-SE wind.
Ok thanks again for tuning in and we should be back out on the wave hunt again tomorrow so watch out for our morning surf and weather video report on the FB page.
