Hi folks and welcome back to Bali’s original surf and weather report website. Keeping it real from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination.
Today’s photos were shot down at Ulu on the 17th I just never had a chance to get them up until this morning while we are waiting for the tide to bottom out. Uluwatu as it shows was cranking. From the low tide Racetrack section and then again on the run in tide on the Main Peak and Temple sections. No shortage of surfers chasing those perfect waves and by the time we were packing up our gear at 12.00 I counted around 100 surfers spread through out the line ups (around 800mtrs).
Yesterday the 18th and our guest was super keen to get to surf some rights over on the East Coast. After he sacrificed the last session we had at Keramas for a super crowded session at Lombok’s Desert Pt. But it wasn’t to be. Yesterday morning saw Keramas with a dry reef and the SE wind howling. We were not the only ones on the scene waiting and hoping, with some visiting QS surfers chasing the same. But after waiting and watching for an hour it was just looking more and more miserable so we bailed out and called it a day.
I did get in an afternoon surf check on the Outer reefs of South Kuta and there were a few waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airports in the 2-3ft class. I did load a video report onto our facebook page.
This morning the 19th and now at 7.40am the clouds are starting to part and the tide is almost on the bottom (0.9mtrs @ 8.44am). So as soon as I tidy myself up we are going to go see what’s happening at one of our fav locations here on the West Coast. Stay tuned to our Fb page for an up date in a couple of hours time.
