G-Land Surf & Weather Report
1th – 15th August 2022
Hello and another big thanks to Nong and the crew from Jojo’s G-Land surf camp for sending us another handful of photos from the legendary location of G-land. By the look of these waves it must have been going right off the perfection scale last week and while from all reports I’ve heard of solid crowds through out the Mentawai Island G-Land still remains relatively un crowded. Our good mate Sarge has also sent through a few photos. Starting with his return back into camp about the G-Land express speed boat and some of the better know morning surf check spots along the shore line.
Sarge was also saying this morning with the small to flat(ish) conditions at G-land the last couple of days some of the surfers / fishos in camp were out putting their skills to work yesterday. Resulting in the whole camp dining on fresh fish for dinner. It’s always a bonus to have a fisherman or two with you on a surf trip hey.
So after a couple of “down days” there would be a lot more amp in camp with the swell alert in place for today and tomorrow. Hopefully Sarge will keep us in the loop. G-Land was already starting to come alive this morning with 3-4 footers starting to run down the reef, like Bali it should be on by this afternoon.
Feel free to drop us an email if your interested in taking advantage of the situation at G-land this year. We can also offer you a little bit of extra incentive with a discount at Joyo’s G-land Surf Camp.
