Hi friends we really want to thank everyone who has helped us get through the pandemic and total lack of income. I’m so happy to see the speed at which Bali is coming back into swing again. But baliwaves needs camera equipment to carry on, usually we upgrade / burn out our old gear around every 4 yrs. This time round we went 6yrs and were very lucky to get through. But hopefully (fingers crossed) we are on track and on the come back trail again. Please don’t give up on us through this as hopefully we are on the last leg. If you could spare a dollar or two (every dollar makes a difference) then hit this link https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/08/baliwaves-needs-your-support/
Please don’t hesitate to drop us an email for any Bali surf or accommodation info and we’ll do our best to help out.
Welcome back to the original Bali surf report website, Indonesia’s first and foremost. For the latest news and best views on today’s surf and weather conditions. This morning dawned with more of that light and variable wind. It was actually coming lightly out of the NNW when we went down for the 6.45am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Wave height had backed off as the models had predicted but there was still 2-4ft waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left. The tide was just starting to push back in.
As it shows in today’s photos we headed back over to Keramas knowing that’s where we would be finding the best up tempo waves and surfers. Keramas was still delivering some perfect 3-4ft+ waves and with some extremely hot surf talent in the line up. Surfing conditions as per photos was spotlessly clean until th around 10.45am when the wind swung towards the Southern quadrant.
Weather wise our day started off in pure Bali fashion with just blue sky and tropical sun shine. But towards 11.00am the cloud moved in and it has been raining on and off here in South Kuta since. Right now at 3.45pm the temp is still a warm 28C and the Humidity is at 81%. The wind has died off and hardly a breath to be detected. I’m sure there would be some perfect waves breaking right now.. somewhere.
The next tide will be a 0.3mtr Low at 536pm.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast has the models showing another slight drop in wave height through out the day. Wind direction is predicted to be out of the South early then tending ESE – SSE. But tomorrow will tell.
It certainly is that time of the year again. Going into the transition from dry to wet season, not that I can really say it has been a dry season with the amount of rain that has been falling all year. The wet season is not so straight forward when it comes to regular wind direction ie the Trade wind. The next few months we will see the wind swing all over the compass and a little more tricky in finding the best waves to suit.
Thanks again team that’s all for now but I do have a pretty good collection of 4K video ready to splice together into another action packed clip so stay tuned.
We have also added some boardshorts and trucker caps into our original baliwaves surf wear page so check it out and order up some quality made apparel exclusive to baliwaves.
Breaking News Department. Petrol has jumped 30% in price from the 4th of September so be prepared for slight increases in all prices on just about everything here in Bali. The first of the increases was LPG, our 5kg refills have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.
