Hi friends we really want to thank everyone who has helped us get through the pandemic and total lack of income. I’m so happy to see the speed at which Bali is coming back into swing again. Please don’t give up on us through this as hopefully we are on the last leg. We are slowly getting back on track but there has been lots of expenses and payback loans so If you could spare a dollar or two (every dollar makes a difference) then hit this link https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/08/baliwaves-needs-your-support/

This morning our 6.45am surf check on the Outer reefs here in South Kuta was indeed showing a slight drop in wave height. From Kuta Reef across to Airport left wave height was only in the waist to chest high range. There was a little bit of rain earlier in the morning but it had stopped by this time. Wind direction was again light and variable out of the NW – WNW region.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery Ketut took a late run over to the East coast to see what was happening at Keramas. Wave height had also backed off a little but still in the chest to over head class. The wind was almost non existent at 8.45am but did start to swing to the WSW by 10.45am. Crowd wise it was the standard 20 – 25 usual number in the water.
Weather wise today it’s been of again on again overcast and now at 4.45pm it’s still 29C, Humidity is at 79%. Wind direction is now SW at 1-4knt.
Tomorrows surf forecast has the wave models predicting no increase or decline in wave height and similar wind as today. But we will have to wait and see what the morning brings.
That’s all I have for now but if you are interested I did post a 30second video clip I took at 3.pm on the 24th of October and it shows just how quite Poppies Lane 1 still is.
Breaking News Department. Petrol has jumped 30% in price from the 4th of September so be prepared for slight increases in all prices on just about everything here in Bali. The first of the increases was LPG, our 7kg refills have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.
