Hi friends we really want to thank everyone who has helped us get through the pandemic and total lack of income. I’m so happy to see the speed at which Bali is coming back into swing again. But baliwaves needs camera equipment to carry on, usually we upgrade / burn out our old gear around every 4 yrs. This time round we went 6yrs and were very lucky to get through. But hopefully (fingers crossed) we are on track and on the come back trail again. Please don’t give up on us through this as hopefully we are on the last leg. If you could spare a dollar or two (every dollar makes a difference) then hit this link https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/08/baliwaves-needs-your-support/

Yes yes nice clean and super fun waves up the coast yesterday at Balian. There were only a handful of fun loving surfers in the water, no hassle you out pro’s or wanna be pro’s hence just some fun loving surfers in this photo gallery. We did alright, as reports I had from down the Southern end of the island was of very small waves.
Today the 13th and we decided on some more black sand waves. But this time just the right hand type. The wave models had a nice little bump in wave height predicted and that’s what we saw. Wave height was still only in the 2-4ft class but with a few over head4ft sets every now and again. There were 4 surfers in the water when we arrived at 7.00am. Peaking at 15 by 9.00am. Surfing conditions remained glassy clean until the SSW wind started to show at 9.45am.
Weather wise we have had another overcast day with a few drops of rain, seems to be the normal in 2022. Right now at 3.45pm it’s 29C, Humidity is at 76%. Wind direction SSE-S at 10knt.
Tomorrow’s surf forecast is calling for similar sized waves as today, slowly tapering off through out the day. My call on wind is for more light variable breeze early before dedicating to the Southern quadrant.

Breaking News Department. Petrol has jumped 30% in price from the 4th of September so be prepared for slight increases in all prices on just about everything here in Bali. The first of the increases was LPG, our 5kg refills have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.
