Hi friends we really want to thank everyone who has helped us get through the pandemic and total lack of income. I’m so happy to see the speed at which Bali is coming back into swing again. Please don’t give up on us through this as hopefully we are on the last leg. We are slowly getting back on track but there has been lots of expenses and payback loans so If you could spare a dollar or two (every dollar makes a difference) then hit this link https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/08/baliwaves-needs-your-support/

Well you know the saying “when your on a good thing, stick with it” well that’s exactly what formula we have been applying to our choice of daily surfing destination. With more swell hitting the East Coast and favorable light and variable wind that is mostly hitting this break “off shore” it =’s been too obvious to ignore. Today’s photo gallery was shot yesterday thanks to Ketut. The weather has improved from the non stop rain we have been getting but still a bit overcast and dull to get the best photos. But as the mornings roll on the color does improve a little.
Wave height yesterday was still in the head to double head high while conditions were not as smooth and glassy as our previous session it was still pretty good. Around 9.00am we did feel a light off shore wind on it before slowly shifting to the SSE-S.
Today the 21st and with a carbon copy type morning we went back for some more near perfect rights. Arriving at 6.45am to find wave height had backed off a touch but still pretty darn good in the 3-4ft or head to well over head high. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy and crowd wise it was on par with the last couple of days. But we were lucky enough to get an explosive surfing exibition from local and International surfers around mid morning. I’ll throw some of todays photos up for you tomorrow.
Weather wise it hasn’t been too bad but still not your standard Bali hot and sunny. Mostly overcast with some sunny patches of blue sky this morning. Now at 4.15pm we have had a few drops of rain here in South Kuta. Right now it’s overcast and possibly more rain tonight by the look of it. Temperature wise it’s currently on 28C with the humidity right up there at 90%. Wind direction is now out of the North at 2-5knt.
Alright then that’s about me for now I want to get down for an afternoon surf check before dark so we can start planning tomorrows surf trip and photo / video shoot.
Stay safe and have a great weekend, stay tuned right here for the latest news and best views of your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.

Breaking News Department. Petrol has jumped 30% in price from the 4th of September so be prepared for slight increases in all prices on just about everything here in Bali. The first of the increases was LPG, our 5kg refills have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.
