Hello everyone and thanks for staying tuned in sorry about the quick disappearance over the last 3 weeks. But after 3 yrs of no travel or any form of self income you can easily imagine the back log of things that I needed to do back in Oz. I won’t get into it too deeply but there was a lot going on the whole time. My main objective to was give my dear old Mum a big hug and kiss, it’s just not the same via video call. I think I spent around 2 weeks in home isolation, (2 x RAT’s) had the flu most of the 3 weeks that started on the 3rd day in country. numerous blood tests, minor operations, expired credit cards and licenses. It was a lot to get through in the time I was able to get out and about, I still have 14 stitches in my back right this very second.
Major apologies to my friends that I never got to catch up with, I had to make the choice and isolate rather than give you all a nasty virus. No car license made it a little easier to isolate. I’m praying for an un event full 2023, void of natural disasters, To return again at the end of 2023, I will see you then.
Rapid Fire Surf Reports, today’s report and gallery has us back up to scratch and back on top of everything. This surfing took place on the 11th of December. A big shout out to Mr Ketut for looking after us while I was away. This current photo gallery was shot up at Canggu and as you can see it was pretty small. Pretty small for us big blokes that is but if your under 70kg’s I’d imagine it would be a ton of fun.
Today the 14th and our 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban amazingly was showing 1-3 ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. But we knew that didn’t we. The tide was still around the bottom of the Low so it really only was Middle Reef that had any shape of a wave. The wind was still only light out of the North.
Ketut has taken another run up the coast a little ways, back to the black sand. He did text through a quick report around 7.45am calling wave height in the chest to over head class and no shortage of surfers. The Northerly wind was providing a nice clean off shore wind with the tide pushing in. I was hoping to see our team back at HQ by now with the full run down, but I will get that intel when Ketut makes it. I just hope he is not caught up in a traffic gridlock at you know where.
Weather wise today it’s been another top one with blue sky since early in the peace. Right now at 11.25am the temperature is on 31C and the humidity at 75%. The wind has gone right around almost and currently out of the WSW at 3knt.
The next tide today will in fact be a 1.8mtr High @ 1.54pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the crystal ball calling in a drop in size and period from today’s 1.9mtrs at 12 seconds down to 1.5mtrs at 10-11 seconds. So put that with a early morning low tide and things are not looking to good for us. The wind is forecast to be a light Westerly before dedicating to the SW close to midday.
