Hello Bali surfers and welcome back to the original Bali surf report from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali. Well as you may have guessed the last couple of days have been pretty ordinary with wave height on the skid. Well I guess there were a couple of small waves to be had but with cloudy sky and on an off again rain between patched of blue sky..
But we spotted today’s (18th Dec) little spike in wave height and thought we had better get out there and finish off the week on a positive. After making the 6.46am “eye’s on surf check” to confirm the bump in height on the Outer reefs. The tide was just starting to run down and the Outers had 2-3ft+ waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Had the wind been out of the East it would have been game on but it was light out of the North.
So what we have for you to mind surf today is some more photos of those 2- 4ft waves up on the black sand beach of The Gu. Yeah I know, it’s been 2 – 4ft for the last 2 months. I can’t see anything solid (swell) in transit for the remainder of 2022 but 2023 ain’t too far off. How ever, we will see a couple more small bumps in swell between now and then fingers crossed.
The next tide today will be a 2.1mtr High at 6.15pm
Weather wise it’s been a bit of the opposite to the last few. Today started off with some cloud cover and has slowly cleared away throughout the day to leave us a nice sunny afternoon. Right now at 2.40pm the temperature is on 31C and the humidity is at 75%. Wind direction is out of the West at 5-7knt.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave models predicting wave to creep up just a little bit more but with the period dropping off slightly at 15 seconds. WInd wise we can pretty well count on that early light Northerly and then from there we will just have to wait and see which way it goes.
Alright my friends it’s that time of the year again with Christmas and the New Year almost upon us. Our Team at baliwaves.com would like to wish everyone a safe and very Merry Christmas followed up by a big and beautiful New Year.
