Hello Bali people and thanks again for choosing the baliwaves to get your fix of Bali’s latest surf and weather info. Today’s photos were shot yesterday the 14th up at the Gu thanks to Ketut. This brings us pretty well up to date and now all we need is for some new summer swells to start peeling off on Bali’s reefs and sand bars. I think this current run of 2-4ft waves has also been one of the longest small wave periods I’ve been through.
Today the 15th and our 7.00am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was as expected not looking too exciting. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left only breaking at 1-2ft+. The tide was still running down at that time and the wind was light out of the North. Middle Reef was the only option on the Outers this morning. Small waves and early morning low tide is not our ideal scenerio that’s for sure. So we will write off today as “a great day for the learner surfers here in Bali”
Weather wise today here on the island of Bali it has been a very warm and sunny day so far. Right now at 11.40pm the temperature is on 30C with the humidity at 82%. Wind direction is now out of the West and expected to swing a little more to the SW through the afternoon.
The next tide today will be a 1.8mtr High at 2.55pm. We are almost in the middle of the moon phase at the moment so not a great deal of tidal movement. The next phase will be a New Moon rising on the 23rd December.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast, its looking like a day off to me. Slightly small wave height and slight stronger wind mostly out of the W-S quadrants.
OK, that’s about all from Ketut and I today I need to get to the clinic later and see when I can remove the 14 stitches in my back. My knee (just for the record) after 4 months of ligament damage pain and no surfing… it’s just about good to go again. So all I want for Chrissy is a couple of waves and some cruisy walls.
