Hello Bali surfers and thanks again for dropping into the original Bali surf report site for another dose of news and views of surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination. I could probably also add the World’s leading “learn tpo surf” destination I think..
But anyway we have been out and about over chasing waves on Bali’s beautiful black sanded East Coast. Yesterday the 19th and wave height was only just in the 2-3ft+ range at our primary destination. With no surfers in the water we followed the old surfers rule of “don’t drive away from decent waves in search of better waves” I was still feeling like crap after being drained out and actually almost feeling strong enough to surf again, maybe tomorrow. But Jonesy didn’t waste anytime getting out into the empty line up and had a decent 2hr session virtually all to himself. As we were packing up to head home after the wind swung on shore there were a few crews of surfers starting to turn up.
Today the 20th and we left home just after 5 this morning, trying to get a head start on everyone else. Arriving just after the sun popped up to find some clean and glassy waves in the chest to well over head high class. But there were already 3 surfers in the water and a few more getting ready to hit it. It wasn’t long and we were seeing a steady stream of surfers roll out of the resort and soon enough there was over 30 surfers on it. There were plenty of waves coming through and I’m pretty sure everyone got a few good ones. By the time we finished up there was only around 20 surfers left but the wind was also starting to shift to the WSW.
Weather wise today it’s been pretty ordinary for Bali. Early morning showers did let up but it has been a mostly overcast day. Heavy rain fell on the drive back to Kuta and we have had a few drops fall again after lunch. Right now at 2.45pm the Temp is on 31C and the humidity at 72%. Looking out my window I reckon there will be a bit more rain this afternoon and evening.
The next tide today will be a 0.7mtr Low at 2.48pm (now)
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying we can see wave height dropping off through out the day and continue to drop through until around the 26th. Wind wise light and variable if you up early enough before dedicating into the W-SW.
