Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into your baliwaves for the latest news and best views on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions. Today’s photos were shot yesterday morning over on the East coast. AS you can see wave height has been slowly tapering off the last few days. Yesterday it was down into the 2-3ft or waist to head high with light and variable wind keeping the waves nice and glassy. Better suited to the grommets and they made up the majority out there. I reckon if you were a grommy out there you would have been stoked out of your eyeballs.
Weather wise it was a hot and sunny day from start to days end.
Ketut snapped these pics while I was down working on our boat getting ready for a lean looking February on the calendar. We have had a very busy weekend here in Bali with loads of domestic tourists hitting the roads for the Lunar New Year holidays that ran from last Friday through till yesterday. So things should be settling back down out there today.
Today the 24th and my 6.45am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was showing a very flat ocean. Only because the tide was on the bottom of a very low 0.0mtr tide that there was anything breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. As the tide rolls in it will be wave less. The wind was a ver light Northerly at the time and is predicted to swing more to the W-SW by late morning.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.4mtr high at 12.08pm. You can see the whole week of accurate tide predictions right here on the baliwaves https://www.baliwaves.com/surfing-in-bali/tide-charts/
Weather wise we have had a clear blue sky since day break here in South Kuta. The temperature has just hit 29C and I reckon it’s going to bust up through the mid 30’s by early afternoon. The humidity is at 79% and the wind is now NW at 1-3knt.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for no change in wave height tomorrow through the morning before we start to see that new Australia Day bump arriving on the 26th. Early morning light and variable wind before dedicating to the SSW mid to late morning.
Ok friends thanks again and that’s me for today have a good one and we will be back when the waves are on.
