Yesterday the 25th and we were heading em up all morning, well we were on a winning streak and scoring some nice head to almost triple head high reeling and peeling black sand waves. As it shows in this gallery clean and glassy surfing conditions lasting through until around 9.45am before the Tradewind starts kicking in. Crowd wise we have been blessed with low numbers of super friendly surfers with the numbers peaking around 15 spread through a fairly long line up. Not like some of the wet season sessions where there could be anything from 40-60 surfers in the water.
Just a quick report / up date for now gang as I want to get down the beach for a late arvo surf check and maybe even a quick dip to cool down. It’s been a bloody hot one here on the holiday island. Similar waves again today the 26th but dropping off (as predicted) down into the chest to slightly over head high range. I’ve got a stack of more photos to edit up for ya’s and I’ll get them up after my morning surf check tomorrow.
Weather wise it’s been hot and sunny for the most of it. But last night we did have some rain almost right across the island and it was still raining this morning until sun rise. Right now at 4.45pm it’s still hot with a full blue sky.
Talk to you again tomorrow.
Travel tips. Personal hygiene is a big issue and it’s all on you ! I learn’t this a long long time ago when I started living here in Bali. You really need to understand that everything you touch here in Indonesia could be infected with harmful germs, everything, especially bank notes. So before you eat a single peanut or potato chip make sure you wash your hands with soap or sanitizer. If your with your family enforce these simple rules and you should be fine when it comes to the dreaded “Bali belly” Eating in hotel resto’s your more likely to get crook than eating in a small warung. Simply because the resto’s are not usually (most cases) staffed by owners with staff often worried about wasting food or hygiene. Not always, but that’s where I hear of the most cases of illness coming from. While the small owner operator warungs are too scared to serve bad food and lose their local and international customers. It makes sense to me. Bottom line is WASH YOUR HANDS before eating any food.
Ok friends thanks again for checking out our latest news and best views make sure keep an eye on our baliwaves face book and Inst pages for any extra updates.
If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever grateful. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight. Please email us
