Hello Bali surfers and time for another Bali surf & weather rundown. I’m not sure where the last couple of days went to I just know we have been surfing pretty hard. But yesterday the 2nd and where the bulk of today’s photo gallery was shot (thanks to Ketut) we were down the coast surfing some very fun waves mostly to ourselves. Well 2 other surfers di turn up through our session but we still pretty much had “secrets” to ourselves. You know how good it is just taking turns with your friends, it’s a hard to beat and very memorable session no matter hown good or bad the waves were.
This morning the 3rd and we were up long before the dawn as usual and on our way to see what the ocean had in stall for us. We had enough serenity yesterday so this morning we jumped a boat around to Serangan. Even before the first boat captain arrived there were already 4 other surfers waiting along with us. So we knew it was going to be busy, but hoping for the waves to make up for it.
Jumping off the boat it was looking ab it small and a bit grim with a couple of boats laden down to their water line with learner surfers and long boards. But around the same time the ocean started to deliver some head yo head high plus peelers and the learners opted for the softer left hand reef section. But that wasn’t the end and the boats kept coming. The strange and wonderful thing was that these crew didn’t want anything much to do with the bigger and better waves. So it was game on.
Weather wise it was cloudy and overcast early with a few drops of rain left over from last night. Mostly overcast through out the day and right now at 1.50pm it still is with a temperature currently on 30C, humidity is at 80% and the wind is currently WSW at 18km/h
Tomorrows surf Forecast is calling for wave height to back off a touch and the wind to be a little fresher out of the West.
Ok crew I gotta blow down to the beach and clean my boat (de foul the hull) but I’ll be back again soon with the latest news and best views from Bali.
If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever grateful. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight.
