Hello all you Bali surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves for our latest news and best views from your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination. Well the 12th was a bit of a blow out. I was down the beach here in South Kuta at 6.30am to swim out to our traditional double outrigger and bail out the rain water from a full nght of heavy rain and strong WSW wind. Kuta Reef to Airport Left at that time was a mess with 1-3ft of on shore crap. The wind did back off a little through the day and I did hear a report of a few waist to head high waves on Airport Left as the tide pushed back in.
Our latest photo gallery was taken over on the black sand beach where was height went from 1-3ft at 6.30am to 4-6ft (over head to triple head high) by 8.30am. The wind was a little funch and mostly cross off shore through until around 10.00am when the wind dedicated to the SSW. There were a few nice waves but mostly shutting down sooner or later.
Weather wise our day started off with some light rain and all day overcast then driving home at 11.00am through some of the heaviest flash flooding rain I’ve seen. So much for a report I read from a popular USA surf report / webcam site claiming that this year is going to be super dry with predominantly small waves. So far it’s been wet and if you take a look at the long range surf forecasts we are in for some more even bigger surf through April which is usually a pretty tame month of swell.
Today the 14th and it’s just gone 4.30am here at home and as soon as I get thise report online we will be getting ready to go chase more waves. So stay tuned for an early morning up date once we get to where we are going. Sorry yesterday I left my phone at home on the charger by mistake.
Ok have an awesome Friday and don’t forget to drop us a line if your planning on coming over to Bali. Email me on this link.
If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever gratefull. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight.
