Here are a few photos from yesterday morning down at Uluwatu thanks to Mr Ketut. Unfortunately the early morning waves were the best with a light off shore wind and a nice and grindy Racetrack section. But there was also a lot of cloud cover / low light with rain thrown in that didn’t help out the cause for shooting photos or vid. But still a few gems in there and we hope you like em.
This morning we knew wave height was going to be dropping down quite a bit after our late arvo surf check yesterday. So we made an easy call, kinda, and made our pre dawn way up to the Gu. The wind wasn’t too bad and a little bit of variation gave us a sometimes almost off shore. But for the most of it it was a cross shore Easterly. Wave height at the Gu was only in the waist to head high range. Hardly any surfers in the water early but it didn’t take the grommets to realize it was a perfect size for them to tune up their moves. Anyway it was still good to get in the water and it was even big enough to push me along making it seven surfs from 11 days this month. It’s been hard getting going again after screwing my ACL and 7 months out of the water Aug2022 – Feb2023.
Weather wise this morning we pretty much had an over cast sky encompassing most of Bali, well as far as I could see anyway. Canggu was just about the only place that the cloud wasn’t laid on thick early. Right now at 4.00pm it is still overcast with the temp on a warm 30C, humidity is at 80%. Wind direction is currently out of the SE at 24km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is saying we may see a slight bump in wave height with the period jumping from 14-18 seconds between now and in the morning. More strong and gusty ESE wind is also predicted.
Travel Etiquette, Here in Bali / Indonesian the flu isn’t a big thing normally for the locals and is usually only pretty mild. The problem is when International visitors bring in nasty strains from overseas and spread it to just about everyone they come in contact and then the domino effect takes place. So, if your coming over and you get the flu pre departure please make sure you take all measures to knock it on the head and not spread it around Bali. Thanks.
Well, that’s just about all today from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination. We hope your day has been just as awesome and looking forward to seeing you here in Bali again soon.
