Ketut shot this photo gallery yesterday the 30th up on the black sanded beach of Canggu / Pererenan. Some nice little waves were breaking on the left had sandbar section and also right in the middle of the beach on the sand. Ketut was saying that the right hand rivermouth was pretty well over run with learners getting push assistance. There was no shortage of influencers making their appearance around mid morning. Canggu really has got something for everyone these days.
Yesterday I spent most of the morning with video editing here at home. We had collected a 100 good video clips through out the month of May and it was hard work going through them all to reach the final cut. So do us a favor and take a look at it. The 29th just for the record was not the best day to get out and shoot photos with heavy rain through out the night and continuing into the day. We also had a little more rain yesterday around here and down towards the southern end of the island.
Today the 31st and Ketut took another run back up to Canggu and phoned through to tell me that wave height had bumped a little bit. Some nice waves with nice 4ft sets on the Sandbar and rivermouth sections. While Ketut is out in the field having fun I’m here stuck behind the screen. But I think that might change tomorrow, hopefully it will be my turn to get a few waves.
Weather wise this morning after some consistent over night rain we woke to a grey and dreary sky, more so dark and dreary looking down towards Uluwatu / Nusa Dua. But by mid morning it has been slowly clearing away and I reckon we will be in for a hot and sunny day. Temperature wise right now at 10.30am it’s a warm 28C with the humidity at 83%. The wind was light and variable early and now coming out of the ESE at 13km/h.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.65mtr Low at 2.15pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for similar sized waves again but with the period dropping from 16 seconds down to 13 seconds. I dare say more light wind early before the Trade wind kicks in around mid morning and then getting pretty strong by early afternoon.
