As we mentioned yesterday there were some good old fashioned fun waves to be had where we were hanging out at. This current photo gallery backs that up and I’m sure that if you are reading this you have already flicked through the images. Today the 4th and we did try another black sand favorite at first light but there just wasn’t enough swell getting in and scary enough as we just decided to p[ull the plug and head up the coast to our secondary location there was a procession of surfers on bikes with long boards, short boards and even a sup. So we were pretty happy with our call to search on.
We ended back at yesterday’s location and were satisfied and a little stoked to find wave height still finding it’s way in, delivering some head to over head high waves with only a dozen surfers in the line up. Surfing conditions stayed clean and glassy right through until around 10.45am with the crowd peaking well under 20. Not a lot of barrels on offer but some nice wedgy walls with beltable lips.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 0.4mtr Low at 4.07pm. I’ve been trusting my new G-Shock surf and tide watch for tidal info and so far it’s been spot on. Since I scored one I’ve noticed that 4 of my local surf friends are also wearing the same watch.
Weather wise here today it’s been another top day on the holiday island. Solid blue sky with a top midday temperature hitting 32C. Right now at 4.00pm the temp is still a warm 30C, humidity is at 79%. Wind direction is out of the SE at 18km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the modals saying we can expect similar as today with maybe just a slight down size on a 14 second period. The wind, is predicted to be fresh out of the ESE.
Just another hygiene alert and a good reminder to carry a little bottle of hand sanitizer around with you if your heading anywhere to eat. I’ve been hearing lots of cases of people getting sick calling it Bali belly. But the majority of cases are from dirty hands. Handling money, sitting in a taxi, touching a table or chair, the list goes on and on. Just be cautious and keep washing / cleaning your hand before eating. The bottom line is, if it smells good and tastes good then it is good. If if smells suss and tastes suss do not eat it, send it back.
Ok thanks again all you awesome Bali people and see you again tomorrow, either here on on our FB or IG feeds.
Looks like we have a new second hand GoPro 7 on the way to Bali. I can’t wait to put her to good use soon.
