As I mention in yesterday’s surf report here are a hand full of photos of some of the boys and girls that were out surfing at Medewi yesterday. Medewi has always been one of our favorite destinations and we are looking forward to another visit soon.
Today the 21st and we have been watching the charts very closely over the last week and were expecting some solid swell to hit Bali this morning. We were down the coast at another of our fav locations (just about every beach in Bali are our fav locations for that matter) arriving just after dawn. We were not disappointed by any means with some solid 5-8ft set waves and a very cool fresh off shore wind. There were already 5 surfers in the water and it did peak at 14 by 9.00am. Lots of power on tap with legropes and surf boards broken. Ketut did tap a whole bunch of photos this morning and I’ll get to them ASAP
Weather wise it was cool early but by 7.30am the sun was already warming up the island. Right now at 2.30pm the temp is on 28C with the humidity at 69% (it is winter here) Wind direction atm is coming out of the East at 22km/h.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 0.04mtr Low at 6.47pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is saying we should see wave height back off a little but I’d bank on seeing some more solid waves about the island. The period will be dropping from today’s 16 seconds to 15-14 seconds tomorrow. Wind will be ESE with gusts 30km/h by midday.
