I hope everyone’s week is getting off to a good start surf wise, we managed to score a few nice waves ourselves this morning. But for now here is a bit of a compilation of photos we shot over the weekend. at a couple of different locations on both of Bali’s surf coasts. I’ve still got so many more photos to show you guys so you can see just how good the waves are here in Bali.
Yesterday the 10th and we were over on the black sand beach on Bali’s East Coast. We lucked out, well we did make the effort to get up long before the dawn and get into position to be the first surfers in the line up. Wave height was a nice and very fun head to over head high with perfect shape. Combined with a dropping tide and light off shore wind that lasted right through till mid morning.
Today the 11th and with wave height predicted to be dropping off a bit we headed up to the close by wave magnet of Canggu. The day dawned to an overcast sky and a few drops of rain. But that wasn’t a problem because the there were waves galore in the chest to over head high class. The Sandbar was delivering some perfect lefts with only a handful of surfers on it. While the River mouth was also looking pretty good but with maybe 20 surfers on it. Surfing conditions stayed clean and glassy right through until around 10.00am. Ketut shot another million photos and I’ll try and get some up for you tomorrow afternoon.
Weather wise today it was a cloudy overcast start to the day but by mid morning the clouds were clearing and the blue sky dominating again. Right now at 4.31pm the temp is that standard afternoon warm 28C, humidity is at 81%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 32km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for a slight bump in wave height and wave period. Fresh and gusty early morning wind out of the ESE before tending SE and then SSE around mid afternoon.
