This morning the 11th and we were running off yesterdays Surf Forecast with the outlook of a small spike in wave height today. So we bee lined it over to the East Coast to see what was happening at Keramas. As you can see in our photo gallery thanks to the steady hands of Pa Tut there were some nice fun sized waves in the 2-4ft class. It was always only going to be about the dawn session providing a light off shore breeze so we didn’t waste anytime getting out there and joining the 10 other surfers already in the water.
There were even a few barrels getting threaded early as the tide pushed in. Eventually the crowd peaked at 25 surfers on the top of the tide with the high majority of surfers coming through the resort. Around 9.00am the wind did start to puff up out of the ESE but surfing conditions were still clean enough. By that time the crowd had almost halved. But we were done and headed home for some breakfast and a bit of a rest before we head off again tomorrow on the wave trail.
Weather wise today it has been nothing short of a hot and sunny day. Even now at 1.45pm the temp is still sitting on 32C with the humidity at 62%. Wind direction is now coming out of the South at 15km/h.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.56mtr Low at 2.33pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for wave height to be dropping down a bit tomorrow and the period is also dropping from 14-15 seconds today down to 13-14 seconds tomorrow. More light and variable wind before dedicating to the Southern quadrant.
Driving home today’s exchange rates on the streets of Bali were offering –1US$=Rp15,475 –1AU$=Rp9,850 –1EU$=16,425
