Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into see what was happening here in Bali this morning. With the current moon phase we are in, along with wind predictions we didn’t have a lot of options on offer. The wave models were also calling a drop in wave height so we run the numbers and headed up to Canggu’s Sandbar left and rights. The tide had just passed through the bottom of a lowest of the low 0.0mtr tide and was just starting to turn for the run in. I was thinking that wave height would have been a touch smaller but surprisingly there was still some solid swell getting into the beach break.
As it shows wave height was a solid over head or 4-4ft+ on the bigger waves with an early morning light off shore Northerly breeze. The wind didn’t hold for too long and by 7.45am was already starting to tend to the W-WSW. It was only light so the waves did keep improving with the incoming tide through until 9.30am when it was starting to get a lot of bump on the wave face. The early morning low tide suck was definitely dominated by the body boarding crew and you can see there were some sick tube rides, even in bodyboard terms right.
Weather wise it was partly cloudy early but the sun ended up dominating and now at 4.30pm its a warm 31C with the humidity down to 68%. Wind direction did tend right around the SSE and is still there now at 24km/h.
The next tide today will be a 0.36mtr Low at 5.06pm followed by a solid 2.66mtr High at 11.22pm.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is again showing wave height to be on the downward trend from today, the period is also dropping from 13 seconds down to 11 seconds. Similar wind will accompany into the morning tending more SSE-SE through the afternoon.

Ok that’s us for October but we will be back again tomorrow to bring in November. I also have to let you know that I have been going through a little tough time health wise. Lots of trips to hospital, specialists, blood tests and scans etc to try and get back to normal. I will be heading off island for a few weeks later this week to pursue the cure and will keep you in the loop. The good news is that Ketut will be still doing his thing and shooting daily photos and we will still be posting reports and up dates as we can. Sorry about this but that’s life and I hope to be back on island asap, thanks for your on going support.
