This morning the 4th and the charts were looking good for another early start and we were totally up for that. Not too be disappointed arriving at our primary location to find a super clean 3-4 foot of near perfection under the rosey glow of the dawn. There were 3 surfers already in the water ahead of us and we knew that today we would see more surfers turning up and eventually peaking at 20. A pretty multi cultural line up of Balinese, Japanese, Koreans and even a couple of Aussies in the mix. All enjoying some super nice and clean waves being fanned by a light off shore breeze.
Everyone was talking of bigger and better waves to come this morning but I don’t think we will see that happen until later this afternoon when the period jumps from 14 to 16 seconds. It was maybe around 9.00am when the wind shifted more to the S-SW but the waves were still clean and peeling off. There was some super slick surfing going on this morning with a couple of Bali’s best surfers in the water and visiting internationals. No shortage of camera men on hand to capture the action as it went down.
So with all this it looks like tomorrow is going to be the day for this current swell before it starts to taper off.
Weather wise today more pure Bali hot and sunny weather again today. Right now at 1.45pm the temperature is still a smoldering 31C with the humidity at 69%. The wind has swung back to the ESE and clean off shore between Kuta and Uluwatu at 25km/h.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.36mtr Low at 6.33pm
Tomorrow’s Swell Forecast is saying it’s going to be on.
