Yesterday the 2nd and we were up and on the road just after 4.45am. Making our way up the West Coast to Balian. Not the best tide situation but then we knew there wasn’t going to be too many waves anywhere else with a dropping swell. On arrival surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore breeze. Wave height was in the 3-4ft+ with maybe 8 surfers spread through the different breaks on offer. The rights out on the Peak were looking the best option. It was around 9.30am that the wind shifted to cross / on shore. As the tide started to push back in the crowd jumped to around 30 in total but mostly learners on long boards.
Today the 3rd and we went back the black sand beach hoping to see a slight bump in wave height. It’s always nice to find and empty line up and we took advantage of it knowing it couldn’t be to long before some more surfers showed up. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a fresh off shore breeze. The crowd stayed pretty mellow until a group of learners from S. Korea paddled out. For some reason or another they were (unknowingly) dropping in on each other and just about everyone else for that matter.
Weather wise another hot and sunny day here in Bali. Right now at 3.11pm the temp is still a very warm 30C with the humidity at 74%. Wind direction has turned around and now coming out of the ESE at 24km/h.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.26mtr Low at 6.06pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is showing wave height to be slowly increasing in size through the early hours and then pushing in with the incoming tide. We should see some solid waves hitting Bali by late afternoon. Wind direction is predicted to be E-SE-SSE through out the day
