Hello everyone and sorry it’s taken me awhile to start getting on top of my current priority that I have, Cancer. Around 3 months ago I knew there was something wrong, something wrong inside my bodies water works department. We were straight into the big hospital in Denpasar to find out just exactly what the problem was. Unfortunately almost 2 months of treatment with no ease of symptoms took me to the next level of self preservation, Australia.
With pre contact of my GP here in Australia I pretty much went from the the airport to the Dr who had me checked into the hospital before sun down under going the start of so many tests. I’d never spent the night in a hospital before or had a life threatening disease for that matter so it was something that I just had to do. The time for vanity or ego was long long gone. That was on the 3rd of Nov I was admitted it’s now the 9th of Dec and I’ve still got a couple more weeks to go before I can leave, fingers crossed of course.
Next Friday is the big day for Slim so spare me a thought if you can.
Our man Ketut has been still doing what he does best and been out there all over the island taking his guests surfing and shooting photos and video which he has also been sending through to me. I’m finally at the stage where my pain management is good and that I can manage the amount of tubes and pipes sticking out of me to sit up and get you some long deserved Bali Surf and Weather reports right.
Currently in Bali it is the time for the main transition from transitional period into full on wet season. That usually kicks in as we get close to Christmas. Now the wind is already dominantly out of the Western quadrant but we still get to enjoy some light to no wind mornings that can create some very nice possibilities when the swell and tide line up.
Alright friends of Bali thanks for all your support and I am looking forward to having this in my past very soon and back in Bali with all my Family & Friends again.
Ketut is still taking surfers to find their best Bali waves while I’m caught up in hospital. So drop us a line and you can be cruising with Ketut and all his local surf friends when ever you are ready. God knows my family are going to be down deep in Dr / hospital bills when the smoke clears.
