G’day everyone and slowly but surely here we are with another update direct from our man on the ground in Bali Mr Ketut. In our last report I mentioned that the wave models (that I use) were showing a nice little bump in wave height on the 28th and that’s exactly how it panned out. As you can see in these photos that some of the bigger sets were pushing the double head high class.
But surfing conditions were a little bit testing with the wind fresh cross shore out of the West at Keramas. But still pretty clean just not the usual amount of barrels when the wind shifts outta that off shore zone. Crowd wise there was nothing out of the normal with 20-25 surfers in the water while Ketut was blasting away.
Weather wise today in Bali (I was on the phone with Ketut at 7.00am) it rained most of the night and was still raining at 7.00am. Not much with about coming lightly out of the Northern quadrant. But I’m sure it will be just another warm day in Bali by early afternoon.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.2mtr High at 1.17pm
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave models (the ones I use) calling wave height to keep getting smaller tomorrow (if it can). Then further out a small swell to start filling in on the 1st of Feb and more fun sized waves to follow.
I know where I would rather be even if it is raining and the surf is small. It doesn’t stay like that for very long as we all know. The count down is already on until we see the start of the transition to Dry Season start to turn things around in another couple of months So start planning your next Bali surfing holiday soon.
So come spend some time with us and let us do the thinking you just need to get your wave gluttony on. I’m still in Australia undergoing more prodding and probing but am planning to be back home with my Family and Friends before the end of February. I will be back and forwards over the next year or so and we will need your support to help me get through this thing called Cancer.
Thanks again friends and I’ll be back again tomorrow (Ketuts new photos have just arrived) Have an awesome day !
Ketut is still taking surfers to find their best Bali waves while I’m caught up in hospital. So drop us a line and you can be cruising with Ketut and all his local surf friends when ever you are ready. God knows my family are going to be down deep in Dr / hospital bills when the smoke clears.
