Hello friends and forgive me I seem to have forgot to post the photos from the 7th (I had a bad day) when Ketut was visiting The Gu. So I have included them in today’s gallery for a contrast. Yesterday we had to go and grab our good friend from the airport so I called a lay day.
This morning we headed off nice and early, just after 5.00am. Lots of people on the road early heading out to their family homes and Temple’s for today’s Kuningan ceremony. This is the third and final ceremony in our Galungan. Arriving at our Primary just on sun up to find an empty line up with some clean lines wrapping in. There were a few surfers watching but a nice friendly easy going crowd.
Wave height on the bigger set waves was going past the double head high. I reckon if you were looking up at one just about to break on your head you’d be calling it 6ft at least. Not the best weather for shooting photos being mostly overcast all morning and still is now at 4.21pm
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is going to be interesting with some pages calling a drop and some a bump. I’m thinking a slight drop but we will have to wait and see and I’ll keep ya’s covered on the baliwaves FaceBook page ok. One thing that’s looking agreeable is a strong wind warning 20-30kt out of the W-WNW-W
Further out we have a nasty looking T/D or maybe even a potential T/C starting to spin down under Sumatra and heading SE. I’m glad my little old fishing boat is still up on the beach.
