Hello Bali surfers, I was too buggered to do this yesterday but after sleeping in this morning until 6.30am I’m almost ready to go again. Anyway, yesterday the 23rd we were rolling early and heading to our Primary. Expecting a drop in wave height and with smaller waves you get bigger crowds. So we were mildly happy to say the least to find an empty line up and 3-4 footers peeling off with an off shore wind. That was at 6.15am but we did have another surfer / friend turn up an hour later.

Today the 24th, I lazed around at home this morning drinking coffee waiting for our man Ketut to get back from a quick surf check on the Outer Reefs. Wave height had backed off as expected with 1-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left. The wind was light and variable at the time and tide on the run in.

So with that info Ketut agreed to take a run up to The Gu. Some nice little waves in a fun sized waist to slightly over head high range was hitting the Pererenan Sandbar. Just like anywhere in the World these days there was a solid Sunday crowd on the Sandbar this morning of 25.

My apology for posting the photo of the dog taking a dump on the beach today. This beach once apon a time was a bit dirty with cows and horses crapping all over the place. But these days Canggu is a very very popular and trending place to visit. I think it’s time for the local Banjar to start handing out fines to tourists bringing their dogs down to the beach and letting them crap on a public beach. Never once have I seen a westerner pick up their dogs doodoo. I love dogs lets get that straight, I just don’t like seeing, smelling or stepping in dog shit. Rant over 🙂 Nb: I decided that we didn’t need to see a dog taking a dump. But this is real !

Weather wise today, it’s been a classic day in the tropics. Right now at 3.06pm here in South Kuta its a very warm 32C and humidity level is at 66%. The wind is currently light out of the SSE.

Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the wave models saying to expect similar sized waves as today but on a slightly shorter period. Wind direction is predicted to be coming out of the Eastern quadrant. Looks we will indeed be doing our surfing back here on the West Coast in the very very near future.
