This morning I wasn’t really 100% certain what we would find when we rolled into our Primary location. But first glimpse was showing a light and variable wind and some double head high set waves. Ketut’s photos don’t really do it the proper justice I’m sorry. It was so overcast and grey almost fog like as you can see in the early photos. BTW I don’t pick and choose any order in the photo gallery’s I’m just editing and loading them with their file numbers straight off the camera, after edit. That said you can see as the morning went on and the sun started to burn off the grey the quality picked up indeed.
Weather wise as I mentioned it was a grey and overcast morning before turning out to be just another hot and sunny afternoon.
It seemed even hotter while I was doing surf board repairs on a mates board. That’s something everyone who does an apprenticeship in a surfboard factory learns to do after he can handle a broom. I am proud to say I did my time with Peter McCabe for the most of it. I owe The Man quite a bit.
Just a quick one now because I went the whole yards on the sanding. I don’t have any power tools but I do have a Fat Bastard file, 2 grades of dry grit and then 4 grades of wet and dry for clear and smooth as glass finish.
We will be going out again tomorrow but at this stage I’m not going to make the call until around 4.30am. Stay tuned and you can come along for the ride through our baliwaves facebook page.
